MP and Borough Cllr. attend Centenary Horticultural Show.

On 7th September 2024 Hoby and District Horticultural Society held their centenary show. Church Bells rang, the Brass Band played and the village enjoyed an afternoon of looking at the many exhibits and applauded the days trophy and prize winners. Trophies were handed out by Canon Malcolm Britton from Frisby, a long time supporter of the show.

The afternoon was supported by our local MP Edward Agar and his wife who stayed for the full afternoon and also cut the centenary anniversary cake with Horticultural Society President, Vida Gregory. Also in attendance was our local Borough Cllr., Cllr. Ronan Browne who also was able to join with and enjoy the afternoons proceedings.

The Chair of Hoby with Rotherby Parish Council was also at the Show, Cllr. James Falconer Smith, and was able to have informal conversations with both Edward and Ronan.

The afternoon was an enjoyable opportunity for the village to get together and enjoy this traditional part of Hoby and Districts annual calendar.
